Scottsdale is a city in the eastern part of Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, adjacent to Phoenix. It is regarded as an upscale tourist and shopping destination and as a representation of western American style. The New York Times described downtown Scottsdale as "a desert version of Miami's South Beach" and as having "plenty of late night partying and a buzzing hotel scene". he city of Scottsdale is second only to New York City as having more AAA Five-Diamond hotels and resorts than any other city in the United States. There is an abundance of first-class golf courses, destination spas, and of course the corporate meeting, convention and conference market. Many national and international companies consider Scottsdale one of the top destinations for such events.
